Portable Water Connections
If a public water main exists on your development site, it may require a diversion to support the progress of your project. Those with an interest in land that includes a water main or related infrastructure have the right to request modifications or removal, including diversion, of such infrastructure to allow for the intended improvements of that land. This right is established by Section 185 of the Water Industry Act 1991 and applies to individuals who have a stake in neighboring properties where the presence of water mains or apparatus may hinder planned developments. It is essential to recognize that this provision does not pertain to water mains situated within public roadways.
